What isUrology?

Urology is the medical science that examines the male and female urinary tract and male reproductive organs. Diagnosis and treatment of all diseases related to organs such as kidneys, ureters, bladder, urethra, testicles, penis, scrotum, and prostate gland fall under the specialty of urology clinics. Urologists can also perform surgical interventions for therapeutic purposes.

In the urology department, the diagnosis and treatment of diseases related to the male reproductive system or urinary system and disorders due to anatomical or physiological causes are performed. Our hospital has the latest technology methods, medical treatments, endoscopic applications, laparoscopic surgical operations and robotic surgery.

Uro-oncology

Radical prostatectomy and radical cystectomy operations are performed in neurooncology. In addition, other urological oncology cases such as testicular cancers are also operated on. Uro-oncology works with medical oncology and radiotherapy departments. In short, urological cancer cases are treated in this department.

Andrology

This department works together with other medical specialties. Andrology is the department where the diagnosis and treatment of sexual problems seen in men are made. Male infertility problems are also examined and treated in this unit.

Female urology

Female urology deals with conditions such as pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence and overactive bladder. Urodynamic studies and uro-radiological methods are used in the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients. Female urology deals with the following diseases:

  • Bladder, kidney and adrenal gland cancers
  • Interstitial cystitis

  • Leaving the bladder into the vagina or bladder prolapse

Pediatric Urology

Pediatric urology is the department that deals with urinary and genital system diseases that occur in infancy and childhood. Hydrocele, cord cyst, circumcision and testicular diseases are some of the diseases that the pediatric urology unit deals with. Pediatric urology deals with the following diseases:
